They mustn’t be tolerated because of the tenet attach to their phenomenal. They lack the revolutionary tradition and discipline to organize the mass for action. If at all they do or have the credibility to muscle strength of organizing the proletariat to combat the State. Their methodology has a clause because of tactics and strategy employ in struggle. It doesn’t have huge impinge on radicalizing the mass as revolutionary force. For some of these Populists and Opportunists who sometimes find themselves in mass movement; they think they can possibly explore that chance when it comes.

Perhaps, this is not to mean struggles can’t pave way for such phenomenal. This is not also to say theoretically the chance of them to manifest isn’t out of place. Possibly, it is. However, what I am simply bringing to the notice of us is that “precautionary measure” must be taken when dealing with Populists and Opportunists in any of the proletariat struggle. History has taught us through many examples that these inalienable entities don’t have revolutionary regard in the tactics of achieving a successful workers revolution. They can break the spine of the movement with compromise most especially towards the clinch of power.

From the understanding of how it’s evolve in class history. Populism and Opportunism will lure workers to the cemetery of death without necessarily considering the dialectical method and the implications of its strategy. For some of the Populists, they believe they are representing the populace in politics. Like in bourgeois politics, the populists thought election in parliamentary politics and government it is means to an end. But from the evolution of bourgeois democracy, having the turnaround of it through revolution both in England and France in sixteenth and seventeenth centuries respectively; which was the force that changes the mode of its politics; election is a means but can’t be an end itself.

Dialectically, we can’t say politics and government is ultimate as far the means of production is concern. The question of who decide the politics and government is inalienable from the class involve in society. This aspect is very fundamental in understanding the generic of society. It will be naïve for anyone to assume that bourgeois democracy and politics has gotten to its climax. Any one, possibly who is a socialist oriented that thinks such, doesn’t understand the fundamental of Marxism. That person must go back to the rudiment or elementary of its literature and study the historic background of bourgeois parliamentary politics and democracy.

Bourgeois politics for the populist in today’s contemporary perspective is a new drive for the world’s democracy. In fact, for them, it is the uplift polishing the world order. However, this is historic fallacy. Many working class struggles in the past centuries had witnessed the defect that has broken out in different part of Europe, Africa, Asia and the continent at large.

Opportunism and Populism as ‘contagious disease’ shall spit misdirection to the masses when combating bourgeois politics and democracy. They don’t have program that is oriented towards building the potential of the revolution. According to how history and struggles evolve they lack the political will and might to build the proletariat consciousness to see itself as the class to overthrow the system of capitalism. What they are after is what they will reap from the form of the mass struggle so to crown their own cretinize interest. They never think into the soul of the oppressed consciously. I mean organizing the mass anger to logically and in the shield of consciousness challenge the ruling elites in struggle. Instead, they paddles wave to say is storm.

In Nigeria, the Eight Days general strikes that have the colouration of rallies, protest and demonstrations where various workers unions, organizations, civil society groups, socialists etc participated to push harder the demand of nationalization of the oil industry. Among the socialist revolutionary group: the Democratic Socialist Movement (DSM) produce leaflets to arm the workers who were both on the street with their banners, flags to see consciously the need of demanding socialist implementation of workers program  and policies. Perhaps, it doesn’t imply socialists schooled in the revolutionary art of Marxism are subscribers to Populism or Opportunism. Fundamentally, it is one thing to overthrow capitalism and the second to implement the necessary program. Both are inalienable in struggles. Program and revolution can only be successful when the workers are tutored into the art of revolutionary skill. This is the only way to close the gap of not allowing the episode of this time of Populists or Opportunists to vituperate and poison the force of struggle.

In concluding, Populists and Opportunists are sometimes struggle butchers. They can run the body of movement and crash it to destruction and betrayal. This is why we should be careful on the way phenomenal metamorphosing around building mass movement. They can slaughter any workers struggle without any remorse or fundamental consequence lynch on the workers. This is to show the danger of populists and opportunists in political struggles. They always crawl around any given space if the opportunity creates itself consciously for them to rocket their disastrous tactics that doesn’t have the mass interest in the page. From the experience, the significance drawn when the ‘struggle butchers’ came around to poison the electricity struggle in the community and run beautiful riddles about their own experience about the struggle that was negotiated out into the grave. They met piled up anger. Sometimes, with the antecedent committed by both the Populists and Opportunists in running through struggles; the duty of revolutionary party is to guide the mass anger to the light of consciousness in order not to the loose the grip of the movement so to stay focus in the political target. Importantly, Marxism is not an impose doctrine or some set of idea regulating the human thought. Marxism is science that guides revolution and actions of people in actualizing it. This is the science that teachers workers and the poor to guide against Opportunism and Populism to earn a revolution and wear civilization another gown for history to write new pages to read through.
